about
My good friend Eric Din rang me up and asked if I wanted to collaborate on something that would invoke something like early 1970's Rolling Stones -- Exile, Sticky Fingers, etc. It was apparently meant to be, because before I could even reply, "Yes please," I realized I'd already written this and stashed it in the recesses of my brain -- all it needed was a poke, and out it popped.
Thank yous to Berkeley Cat Records, all the crack players on this thing, and especially Eric Din, without whom this would not have been born.

lyrics
Well I’m riding, riding on my way to my location
And I’m hiding, staying out of the way of the celebration
And when I see your smile, I can’t tell if you’re alive or dyin’
An insider, said you wouldn’t be around here too much longer
So I grab my hat and my face and my hair and my blues and my guitar and my fleas and I ran to you
And when I see your style, I can’t tell if you’re alive or lyin’
Open the door, and I see the light
And I know you’re inside, but you’re out of my sight
Caught in the act of the crime of my life
Got me with your fever, Got me hungry all the time
Caught the fever, but you got me hungry all the time
Caught me reaching cuz I feel it but you’re so out of sight
Caught the fever, but you got me hungry all the time
Caught me reaching, reaching, reaching and I’m so bloody hungry
Caught me in the act of the crime of my life
Got me reaching reaching ‘cause you got me so hungry
Caught me in the act of the crime of my life
Got me reaching reaching ‘cause you got me so hungry
Caught in the act of the crime of my life
Got me reaching reaching cuz you got me so hungry
Open the door and I see the light
I know you’re inside, but you’re so out of sight
Closer and closer and closer I like
When I see your smile I can’t tell if you’re dyin’
When I see your style I can’t tell if you’re cryin’
Caught in the act of the crime of my life
Got me criming criming cuz I’m so f*cking hungry
